    The day I found out about my PCOS

    Earlier in my life, I’d experience symptoms that hinted towards PCOS, however it was only diagnosed recently (at the tender age of 36.) The doctor broke the news by the way of worse case scenario – I had: Borderline diabetes High blood-pressure Other health implications And I was given a real handy leaflet (all freshly printed out with half of the pages missing. Swell.) My lockdown walk with a view. ❤️ My lockdown walk with a view. ❤️
Today’s plans were grand. Well, for lockdown any Today’s plans were grand. Well, for lockdown anyway. Go to a bigger park, back home for lunch and nap.
.
We were awake at 5am, dawn of the dead vibes, so local walk around the Quays happened instead, sandwich on the go, late nap (she’s laying on me as I type)....We’ve done this walk every week and every time it sets a refresh on the sluggish crappiness that is lockdown.
.
Definitely worth a go if you’re local.
Contrary to the peaceful nature of the picture tak Contrary to the peaceful nature of the picture taken earlier, today was a day of tears and tantrums.

On our walk, due to not recognising someone in a mask, she mistook them for her dad, and became distraught that they’d walked away without her. 
.
I think it triggered a separation anxiety of sorts and we’ve had tears most of the day. The heaviness that lingers when you hear them really upset or crying, I was reminded of that today.
.
Parenting is definitely a wild rollercoaster.

This past week we celebrated a second birthday, s This past week we celebrated a second birthday,  seeing grandparents again (social distanced ofc) and a new class at nursery.

The past year has been difficult and despite this, we’re grateful for the time we got to spend together. Watching her grow into a fully fledged toddler has been quite an experience and I’m so excited to see what this year holds.
