It’s funny. It seemed my pregnancy was never-ending. I was so excited to meet Ayda that I’d stare at the calendar counting down hours, days, weeks to when she’d be here. And today, while I sit here writing this blog during her nap time; I realise four months have passed, and I can’t quite believe how fast this time has flown.
I was conflicted on whether I should write about my experiences as a new mother, and share stories of Ayda. On the one hand, I wanted things to remain between us: my family and me. But on another level, there are things I’ve experienced that I want to talk about – as a way of helping me. There’s therapy in discussing and sharing. And secondly, if there’s anyone else that can be supported, even better.
Writing about my journey
I’m a proud mum, and Ayda inspires me to do and be better every day. I’m guessing over the next months (which will undoubtedly also fly by) I’ll be experiencing new transitions, and as I do, I’ll be sure to share them with you.
